With the growth of dual-immersion programs, not only is it important to support student learning, it is vital to support teachers who are in the front lines providing instruction and help alleviate the anxiety in parents who are new to the program. This one hour session provides administrators and ToSAs some key takeaways from current dual-immersion research to best support teachers and parents with suggested edtech tools to implement and integrate in the classroom. This session will also touch briefly on the shifting role of teachers as facilitators in a dual-immersion space where teachers are the language model for the students. Further, it speaks of the necessity in helping parents become participant stakeholders in the program who work alongside classroom teachers.
