Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to incorporate appropriate guidance and training to those at their school sites/districts who provide professional development trainings. This session is best directed toward those who are PD providers and those who lead teams of PD providers. Challenge: Often times, trainers are former classroom teachers who have little to no experience in working with adult learners, leading teams of adults, or developing content with adult learners in mind. Interactive Learning: Because this group is not set up for success to work with adult learners, our focus will be presenting Adult Learning Theory, concepts of accessibility, and application of andragogy. Participants will engage in collaborative do-now activities and small-group conversations on affective, rational, intuitive, and experiential concepts of adult learning design. Participants will apply their conversations to examples of in-person, online, and blended learning/instructional design. Evidence of Success: The application of information will be relevant to take back and incorporate to their work immediately. We'll know that the presenters have reached success because the participants will leave with completed template/guides that are provided. For instance, participants will have drafted versions of collaborative norms and an equity frame to to present for feedback and iteration.
